Music format
The project re-examines objects' location in our time, and tried to define virtual representations in a physical form.
"Album Art" is a new music format meant for domestic use, allowing the music artist to express his artistry by an object made of materials and form chosen in order to pass an additional sensation to the user. In this player, the object itself ? the album ? controls the interface.
How does it work? The album contains the link to the music's location on the internet. When placing it close to the player, the latter recognizes the album's data and imports it from the web. The album's details are displayed on the desk by a micro projector. Thus, the inanimate object transforms into an interactive album, and its user can change his listening experience every time the player updates the music from the internet. Ie: A certain band releases an album, which is preceded by a live version of the same title a year later, complimentary for a period of 1 month. This way the compilation can "relive".
